Standard European Siren

Well, I hope at least some people here can understand some English. I tried to join, but I guess it's invite only. I was wondering if anyone here can point me in the right direction to obtain the siren in the following video....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=BpX-zYkWmP8

I would also be willing to purchase I siren that sounds close to this one. I would like a electrical Martins Horn sound like the one in the video.

Welcome! You need no invitation, just send a short email to our admin Peter.

I guess, our specialists in sirens and sound are still sleeping on this beautiful early Sunday morning!

In my opinion, this siren is a Haensch (e.g. Typ 620), but I'm not sure. So let's wait for our Martin specialists!

Regards!

Sascha

Welcome to the board,

it's not a Hänsch model, it's a lightbar called "TOPas" by Pintsch Bamag. The siren "WA3" has the same sound.

By the way: a "Martin-Horn" is only this http://maxbmartin.de/2297gm-audiofile.html
That's a air horn and most famous by firetrucks in Germany. Like the FedSig-slogan "It's not a firetruck unless it's got a Q-Siren" it's in Germany "It's not a firetruck unless it's got a Martin-Horn"

And so "Martinshorn" is just slang. It's as if you say "a Q-Siren from Whelen"

Shame on me, I just took a detailed look and Commander is right, it is s TOPas, sorry!

@Commander: I thought the siren is WA23 and WA3 is only the external version?

That's right, but the TOPas is available with a lot of different sirens. The WA23 is the same like in the WA3. But most of the other sirens offer the same tone, just with several other signals like urban/rural switching or other european siren tones.

I just wantet to point that there is not a whole lightbar neccessary to get that special tone.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome!

Haha is a Federal Q, not whelen. I know a Martinshorn is an actual horn, not siren, but the electronic siren I heard on that video I would love to have. Imagine using that to clear traffic in the states. This is the only link I found for it http://www.bluelightsnmore.de/shop/a...3%26aid%3D8%26

Sadly, they are 60/120 instead of 100/200. I don't know if all sirens are like that in Europe, but I know in the U.S. the standard is 100/200.

Does anyone know anyone on the board that could sell me a siren like the one above, or a siren that sounds close to that one? Or a good website?

Again, I appreciate all the help. Feel free to stop by eLightbars.org, I have a thread on it that you can chime in on.

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know of a website that sells any of these sirens? Like in the U.S., websites have over 20 different sirens to buy on one site, but I can find the same thing for European sirens.
