Hello community,

the switch panel shown on the pictures below is on our local FD's Magirus fire engine.

It is clear that once it was connected to the BOS radio system, and also to the big red speaker on the top.

Could it also make a siren sound or this is only for P.A.?

Hello,

90% that is only for P.A. The Speaker looks to small for twin use.
Normally these Speakers could only be used up to 5. max. 10W, that is to low for a siren.
The Siren sound of this Magirus is only used by compressed air through the Martin trumpets. These old fire trucks normally used only one siren, two sirens were the exception.

This is a Telefunken L801 or L801a. All versions have a driver for ELA, they were never used for signal horn, only ELA.
