Sorry my camera slid down my dash about a minute it. I moved it back. both hands where on steering wheel the entire time except when I moved the camera back. -------------------------------------------------------------- ______________________________________________________ First up is my red/red/red/red 911EP LS12 4 head stick. This is the wired in version and is second generation leds. The lenses are interchangable to tir or linear. On this bar I have made it into a tir and linear mix. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1368.jpg ______________________________________________________ Second is a the same as ^^above^^. but it is a 911EP LS15 model. It is all the same except one pattern. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1370.jpg ______________________________________________________ Third is my red/red Traffic Enforcer Dash light. Unknown brand. It has I think 12 patterns and is the duel tir 4. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1369.jpg ______________________________________________________ Forth is two red federal signal ModLED warning lights. These are steady burn lights that are wired into a Sound Off Signal led Flasher. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1373.jpg _______________________________________________________ Fith is two red 911EP Star Grill lights. These are second generation leds and also have interchangeable lenses. These are set up as linear and they are steady burn models. These are also connected to the Sound Off Signal led Flasher. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1371.jpg _______________________________________________________ Sixth is four white tir 3 led grill lights. Unknown brand. They do not have a brand name anywhere. they are bright looking straight at them but if you go off axis you can't really see them in the day time. They appear to look like first generation leds. I got them for graduation of emt-b course from a friend. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1372.jpg ________________________________________________________ seventh is two red Whelen Talons. They are linear lenses and have 12 patterns. Very very bright. These serve as my 90 degree warning and set on a scan pattern. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1367.jpg _________________________________________________________ eighth is a 8 head Rocket X linear 4 warning stick without traffic advisor. It has 30 patterns and is a amber/red/amber/red/red/amber/red/amber set up. It also is set on a scan pattern. It is the Top bar in picture. Ninth is a red 6 head linear 6 warning stick. Unknown brand. Have strip the light completely apart and there is no markings anywhere for a brand name. The internal flasher did quit working and I have now completely gutted the insides of the stick. It now has one hot wire and 6 grounds one for each light head. It is controlled by my Federal Signal Signal Master (traffic advisor with warning patterns) on my smart siren. This bar is the bottom bar in my back wind shield. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1366.jpg _______________________________________________________ Next is my sirens/controller. First is my Federal Signal Smart Siren with Signal Master. Model SM-2000-SC. this siren is a programmable siren with a three way pursuit switch and 5 extra switches. The 5 extra switches can be programed to be either a full switch, momentary switch, or a timer switch. The pursuit switch has three modes. Mode 1 on my set up is rear warning and side warnings only. Mode 2 is front warning only. Mode 3 is all warning and siren enable. It has 4 siren tones but only three can be programed at a time. My setup is wail, yelp, and priority, but can replace priority with HiLo. Also on this siren is the Signal Master. It has 6 directional patterns and 4 warning patterns. on top of those patterns are 2 different speeds. It can be programmed to work either a 6 or 8 head stick. Any other info or if i confused you can be found here. http://www.fedsig.com/products/index.php?id=112 http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...1/100_1375.jpg _________________________________________________________ The second siren is a Carson SC-1012 Volunteer with Mechanical tone. this siren model is a remote siren. It has 5 siren tones. Wail, Yelp, Phaser, HiLo, and Mechanical. Only four can be used as a setup. the phaser can be replaced with HiLo. It also has 2 Aux light switches. I have wired my Carson to be controlled by the 5 Aux switches on my Smart Siren. I do not have a pic of the amp but here is a stock picture from www.carson-mfg.com http://www.carson-mfg.com/img/sc-1012-volunteer.jpg __________________________________________________________ If anyone has any question just ask and Ill answer. |

Are you allowed to mount lightbars on your POVs or only dashlights?
|
Well we can mount light bars on our POV's but nobody around here goes that far. In my county there is only 3 firemen that has light bars on there pov's. I like the low profile look. If I did mount a lightbar on my car it would have to be low profile like a whelen liberty bar or something.

Good choice! ;) |

Means, you can mount any blue/red/amber flashlight on your car when you are in a Volunteer-Fire Dept. ? -- BTW nice car:D |
Hey,
my information is that every departemet has its own laws for lights on the personal vehicle. From green lights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNGQYmJwhWE over blue lights (I think espacialy for EMS personal): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqLIBb2Yh_M - in some cases there are sirens, in others the fire personal does only have airhorns, in other depts. they have sirens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK-fav44uYw and the red/ white ones like Erics Pov: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_3z_...249F8&index=48 i know just a few depts. where blue and red is allowed like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVMtjOhvnUM ......................... So some information at the end, when fire personal is responding to the scene they have to run the sirene at all time. Hope that it will help you! Regards Philipp |
